HTC came up with a junior version of its Desire in the month of May 2010 and named it The WildFire. As the Sony Ericsson X10 was related to X10 mini; the HTC Desire is related to Wildfire in the similar manner. The Wildfire is a light weight (118 gm) and medium budget handset. The design of the HTC Wildfire may not attract you with its solid design but it is not that bad after all.
The Wildfire has a screen size of 3.2’ and uses QVGA display with a low resolution of 125 ppi. The display of Wildfire is a bit disappointing with low contrast levels and poor sunlight legibility. No doubt the display has good brightness levels but that cant do alone. Overall the display flaunts a poor picture quality.
The HTC Wildfire comes packed with a 5MP still camera with LED flash and autofocus. The camera reads well with an image resolution of 2592 x 1936 on spec list but actually is an just an average snapper. The camera User Interface is still very interactive but a bit complicated or less user friendly to use. The video camera is also very basic which captures videos at a frame rate of 15 fps.
The HTC Wildfire has some good points as well namely its audio quality. The device also has a broad connectivity spectrum or in other words a lot of connectivity options are available. Some of them are USB v2.0, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP support and Wi-Fi. The web browsing experience is also very pleasant as it is simple and interactive both at the same time.
Being an Android phone HTC Wildfire has a wide variety of applications available in the Android market. Overall the HTC Wildfire is a medium priced android with average features in all contexts. The best points about the Wildfire are its superior sound quality and its interactive OS.
