LG launched the LG Cookie KP500 touch screen phone to target those users who are looking for a nice and inexpensive touch screen phone. The new KP500 also known as “cookie” has almost all those features present in a high end phone and at an affordable price. The phone is built with plastic and feels like rubber. The phone has a perfect size to weight ratio and is comfortable to carry. Below the screen there are three buttons for send, menu and reject functions. At the bottom of right side there is a telescopic stylus that comes out horizontally. At the side there are volume adjusting keys and these keys can also be used to switch to silent profile.

LG cookie has dimensions 4.19 X 2.18 X 0.47 inches and a weight of 89 grams. The cookie is equipped with an average 3 MP camera which may not be the best but is good for an average user. The phone has 3.0 inch long TFT touch screen with 262144 colours and a resolution of 240 X 400 pixels. LG KP500 has a poor battery backup with talk time and standby time of 3.5 hrs and 350 hrs respectively. Apart from this the phone has handwriting recognition feature and an inbuilt memory of 48 MB with additional micro SD / micro SHDC slots.

The phone is a perfect budget touch screen phone and its design is similar to KC910 Renoir. Unfortunately the phone does not support DivX and XviD video formats. Another bad news is that the cookie has no Wi-Fi and GPS support. The touch screen of the phone is difficult to use and sometimes frustrating. Apart from this LG cookie has nice games and great sound quality. The camera is poor and almost useless in less light because it lacks the flash feature. Overall it is a low priced touch screen phone with some problems.
